Headache TSP thoughts again but like. What if Stanley thinks he has telekinesis abilities. Like sure, the doors open and close but he doesn’t use his hands to pick up that mug. We saw him use his hands in a few cutscenes. This man is a wizard and I love him for it.

Narrator made SO MUCH during skip button. Like, I’m not talking about skip itself but the TSP2 and the Bucket content. Like. I headcanon this man spent quite a bit of time during that to apologise to Stanley. To show he cares, that he’s mad at whoever mingled with the New Content, who hurt him, who hurt them. And realising how much he had hurt Stanley, he made a lot of changes with the Bucket. The expo has so many new posters, Stanley cutouts, Stanley figurines because even if Stanley himself seems to have little role, it’s all about him. It’s The Stanley Parable after all, not Narrator, not Player.
But still, some endings are pure cosmetics. Because he finds the story perfect as it already is. Because he still wants to be playful, to tell Stanley to die, especially if they know he can’t.
He made a present. But it wasn’t for us.
The Bucket was always for Stanley.

In the Stanley Parable original mod we have the red and blue door option but in this one if you choose the red one instead of getting the Zending we get the ending we know today as the Apartment ending, Narrator tells us about how we are always told what to do and how it’s going to lead us to eventually dying
but here’s the interesting part about that, in the original version of the game do you know who else gets a door with the color red? You guessed it !
Stanley !
Well you can take this both ways (or more ! it’s jus the interpretations I personally was able to get out of this)
Either as just a little smart callback to it
or
You can interpret it in a more deep sense of why Stanley has a red door, because just like Narrator told us we will always follow the orders by the end of the day, we might’ve gone trought the left door and pressed the elevator to go down we STILL went trough the red door and no matter what happens we will wake up in the morning and go to work
No matter what we do we will always end up going trough the red door.
I’ve replayed all the game versions (2011 mod, 2013 and Ultra Deluxe) a few times and just like one of my Narrators, Jester, I am a bit obsessed over Zending and Red Door overall.
While it’s no longer the case in the newer versions of the game, I think 2011 holds a special place for one thing - instead of Zending, you are welcomed by the darkness.
And you know what else has a dark screen?
“This is a story of a man named Stanley.”
The game starts with it. And just like that, in 2011 version, you are met with a loop. One of the loops, in fact. But it’s significant because of what happens to it in the later renditions.
The Narrator might be mad that you have already gotten off the story’s path but he still gives you a chance and wants to reward you with it. He THINKS he is giving you a reward - after all, he seems not to understand the stairs and doesn’t want Stanley close to them. He doesn’t want to give back to the cruelty he was used to giving in the original 2011 mod. He wants to share that lovely thing cus, no matter if they are stuck in a loop, he wanted to make it a better experience for everybody.
But once again, instead of that, you have to actively try to kill yourself until you are met with a dark screen.
And then a Loading one which, just like the cutscene, is filled with black.
And this brings us to the Ultra Deluxe - where you are not even able to choose the Red Door. But instead, are welcomed by a silly show that turns into an existential crisis.
And into a black screen, yet again.
We will constantly be stuck in a loop, even if the door is no longer red.

SHINA!!! I’ll try to avoid using terms I’ve used before because I feel like that would give me away immediately BUT.
Goodness. Where do I even START?? You are so incredibly cool and such a kind and sweet person to talk to??? You always ALWAYS have something nice to say it seems, and you do not hesitate to say those things. I’ve seen you pop off with so many random in depth compliments to people that absolutely make their days. Oftentimes it’s after people post a work of theirs, but I’ve also plenty of times seen it (and received it) without any prior warning, and it absolutely warms my heart to see it.
You have so many absolutely bonkers ideas, but like, in the fun way! All of your aus and designs are extremely creative, and you execute them perfectly. Sometimes, things don’t look like they should work as an au, but you tie everything in so tightly and make sure it does, and it’s always a delightful surprise to see. It’s so fun to read your writing, as it’s got a genre of ideas that are so different from the norm but work so well the way you execute it.
And good god. Your ART. You manage to plant (ha) an image directly from your brain and onto the page in a way I’ve seen NOBODY ELSE do before. Seeing your speedpaints only serves to baffle me more on how you manage to do this— You seem to have exactly an idea of what you want to see and visualize it in its entirety before you even start the drawing, and then you transfer it directly onto the page. With nothing but the LASSO FILL TOOL sometimes. No sketch???? Huh???????? My mind is still utterly blown on how you manage to pull that off, but you DO, and it always turns into an absolutely stunning piece. It always looks like you know exactly how to make colors and lighting work in tandem with each other, and know what colors you’re wanting before you start. I am forever wondering how you’ve managed to get such a good grasp on it!
All in all, I think this even undersells a bit how cool you are, cause I doubt I could put it really properly into words. I look up to you as an artist, and you forever inspire me with the things you do. Keep it up, my guy, it’s so so wonderful to see
